“KIM JEST MENTOR?
Mentor to osoba opiekująca się studentem przybywającym do naszego kraju w ramach jednego z programów wymian studenckich. Głównym celem jest pomoc w zaaklimatyzowaniu się zagranicznemu studentowi w nowym mieście i sprawienie, aby pierwsze, często niełatwe dni w obcym kraju, stały się dobrą zabawą, a nie przykrym wspomnieniem.”
Żeby zostać Mentorem, musisz zgłosić się do biura wymiany Międzynarodowej (lub Akademickiej, lub jakkolwiek inaczej się nazywa na Twojej uczelni) i wypełnić formularz zgłoszeniowy.
Mamy spotkania mentorów. Pierwszy z nich odbywa się jeszcze przed rozpoczęciem semestru, aby wszyscy członkowie wiedzieli co robić i na co zwrócić uwagę. Wybieramy też “prezydenta”.
Mentorem może być każda osoba, która chce, jest komunikatywna i zna język obcy. Zazwyczaj wymagany jest angielski. Jako mentor zostanie Ci przydzielony student z wymiany zagranicznej (np. Erasmus) i musisz się z nim skontaktować przed przyjazdem. Jeżeli będzie miał jakieś pytania, służysz pomocą. Mogą ich być tysiące od zakwaterowania, przez uczelnię aż do transportu i czasu wolnego. Najważniejsze, to uspokoić takiego studenta i dać mu poczucie wsparcia.
Bycie mentorem to fajna przygoda i jeżeli zastanawiasz się, czy warto- WARTO. Zgłoś się na swojej uczelni i działaj!

"WHO IS A MENTOR?
A mentor is a person who takes care of a student coming to our country as part of one of the student exchange programs. The main goal is to help a foreign student acclimate to a new city and to make the first, often uneasy days in a foreign country, fun rather than an unpleasant memory. "
To become a Mentor, you must apply to the International (or Academic, or whatever it's called at your university) exchange office and fill out an application form.
We have mentor meetings. The first one is held before the semester starts so that all members know what to do and what to look out for. We also elect a "president".
A mentor can be any person who wants to join this program, who is communicative and knows a foreign language. English is usually required. You will be assigned a foreign exchange student as a mentor (e. g. Erasmus) and you must contact them before you arrive. If he has any questions, you are there to help. There can be thousands of these from accommodation to university to transport and leisure. The most important thing is to reassure such a student and give them a sense of support.
