(#79) AIESEC

     Moja przygoda z AIESEC trwała tylko jeden semestr, ale uważam, że jest to jeden z najfajniejszych organizacji, w której brałam udział.

Jak głosi Wikipedia: “pozarządowa organizacja not-for-profit, jedna z największych międzynarodowych organizacji studenckich. Założona została w 1948. W Polsce działa od lat 60. Prowadzona jest przez studentów i niedawnych absolwentów interesujących się problemami otaczającego świata, przywództwem oraz zarządzaniem.”

Dzięki AIESEC możecie pojechać na wolontariat, lub praktyki zagraniczne do krajów Europejskich i nie tylko. Możecie wybrać Brazylię, Meksyk i wiele, wiele więcej! Fajne jest to, że macie pełną kontrolę gdzie jedziecie i co będziecie robić (wolontariat trwa zazwyczaj 6 tygodni). Wyjazd z AIESEC jest płatny (za moich czasów było to 699 złotych). W cenę wliczone jest zakwaterowanie oraz (ZAZWYCZAJ, BO NIE ZAWSZE) wyżywienie. Za szczepionki (jeżeli jedziecie do kraju, który ich wymaga), dokumenty oraz bilety lotnicze, płacicie sami.

W AIESEC fajne jest to, że każda komórka (OGV, IGV, GT…) wspiera inne. Mamy cotygodniowe spotkania z Team Leaderem oraz comiesięczne spotkania z całym oddziałem AIESEC.  Jest mnóstwo różnych możliwości, ale tutaj skupię się tylko na takich, w których brałam udział.

Nigdy nie pojechałam na wyjazd z AIESEC, ale byłam jedną z team member’ów w OGV, czyli Outgoing Global Volunteer. Moim zadaniem była promocja oraz opieka nad wolontariuszami, którzy chcą pojechać lub już pojechali na wolontariat. 

Jako część promocji, mogliśmy chodzić na zajęcia do różnych szkół i przedstawiać czym się zajmuje AIESEC, robiliśmy newslettery, tworzyliśmy grafiki, ulotki, znaczki, mieliśmy “standy” (na przykład uczestniczymy w różnych targach). Fajne jest to, że każdy może zgłaszać swoje pomysły i żaden nie jest pomijany.

Mamy też dostęp do bazy danych AIESEC. Jeżeli zgłosi się osoba, która chce wiedzieć więcej o AIESEC lub chce wyjechać na wyjazd, kontaktujemy się z nią. My mieliśmy przydzielone konkretne dni tygodnia (moim był wtorek) i w tych dniach, jeżeli się ktoś zgłosi, kontaktowaliśmy się z taką osobą i udzielaliśmy informacji.

Mój udział w AIESEC był jednym z najlepszych pomysłów, jakie miałam i na pewno jednym z najlepszych doświadczeń mojego życia. Jeżeli chcecie wyjechać na wolontariat lub być częścią organizacji- zgłoście się! Udział w AIESEC świetnie wygląda w CV :).

My adventure with AIESEC only lasted one semester, but I think it is one of the coolest organizations I have participated in. 

As Wikipedia says: "a non-governmental not-for-profit organization, one of the largest international student organizations. It was founded in 1948. It has been active in Poland since the 1960s. It is run by students and recent graduates with an interest in issues surrounding the world, leadership and management. " 

Thanks to AIESEC you can go on a volunteer or internship abroad to European countries and beyond. You can choose Brazil, Mexico and much, much more! The cool thing is that you have full control over where you go and what you will do (volunteering usually lasts 6 weeks). The trip with AIESEC is paid (in my time it was 699 PLN). The price includes accommodation and (ALWAYS, BUT NOT ALWAYS) food. Vaccines (if you are going to a country that requires them), documents, and airline tickets, you pay for yourself. 

The cool thing about AIESEC is that each cell (OGV, IGV, GT. . . ) supports the others. We have weekly meetings with the Team Leader and monthly meetings with the entire AIESEC chapter. There are tons of different opportunities, but here I'll just focus on the ones I've participated in. 

I never went on a trip with AIESEC, but I was one of the team members in OGV, or Outgoing Global Volunteer. My job was to promote and mentor volunteers who want to go or have already gone to volunteer. 

As part of the promotion, we could go to different schools and present what AIESEC does, we did newsletters, created graphics, flyers, stamps, we had "stands" (for example, we participate in different fairs). The cool thing is that anyone can submit ideas and none are overlooked.

We also have access to the AIESEC database. If someone comes forward who wants to know more about AIESEC or wants to go on a trip, we contact them. We were assigned specific days of the week (mine was Tuesday) and on those days, if someone came in, we would contact that person and provide information. 

My participation in AIESEC was one of the best ideas I've had and definitely one of the best experiences of my life. If you want to go on a volunteer trip or be part of an organization- apply! Participation in AIESEC looks great on a CV :).
